Anna Careen Schmid

An entrepreneur and lawyer, Anna Careen Schmid has been working at Pantarhei since November 2021. In her law degree at the University of Vienna, she specialised in private international law and medical law, adding to her expertise while working at the Department of European, International and Comparative Law, and during a spell in Dubai.

Anna has been working in the non-profit sector for almost 10 years and has held numerous management positions there. She co-founded the organisation Interchange, in cooperation with UNICEF, where she created an international networking platform for young people – especially high potentials – with around 4,000 participants. Born in Stuttgart, she has received several awards for her voluntary work, and in 2022/23 she will take over as director of Rotaract in Eastern Austria and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

As part of her Politics and Diplomacy diploma course at the Austrian Forum for Foreign Policy, she analysed the effects of China's Belt and Road Initiative on the EU.

Anna has been a managing partner at an event agency in Vienna since 2021.

At Pantarhei, she works with clients from a wide range of industries, providing support on public affairs and crisis management.
