Christopher became a member of PANTARHEI’s team in Vienna in November 2022. He has a keen interest in multilayered political and social processes and how to deploy them effectively in strategies and communications. For Christopher, the prospect of achieving advances in society while also taking a European and global perspective is a key source of motivation.
Over the past few years, Christopher has held various higher education posts, taking responsibility for a range of academic projects and programs. Most recently, after completing his Blue Book traineeship with the European Commission, he took over as Programme Manager in the International Office of the Vienna University of Economics and Business, where he was responsible for international partnerships with an emphasis on CEE.
Christopher has a degree in Slavonic studies and a diploma in English and Russian teaching from the University of Vienna. During his studies, he spent time in various countries, including China, Russia, Belarus and the UK. In the course of his stays abroad, he also focused on topics such as international finance and data science. His passion for politics, and European politics in particular, led him to complete the Academic Forum for Foreign Affairs’ (AFA) Global Advancement Programme as well as the EU programme at CIFE, a private EU-funded higher education institution. He has held a number of volunteer roles, including as a student representative and at Club Alpbach Lower Austria.
